Susan Streater has directed productions of CHICAGO, THE WILD PARTY, BELLS ARE RINGING, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, MAN OF LAMANCHA, FOREVER PLAID, FAME, H.M.S. PINAFORE, BEEHIVE, THE TAFFATAS, BLUES IN THE NIGHT, MY WAY, CABARET, INTO THE WOODS and DAMN YANKEES. Susan has choreographed Off Broadway musicals, revues, summer stock productions, club acts, cruise ship shows and industrials from New York City to Busch Gardens in Florida. She performed on Broadway in MERLIN with Chita Rivera, in Radio City Music Hall's 50th Anniversary show, ENCORE, THE CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, and with Liberace. Susan performed in the First National Tour of CHICAGO, directed by Bob Fosse, and understudied Gwen Verdon who created the role of Roxie Hart. Susan played the role herself in several productions of CHICAGO. She has performed in regional and summerstock theatres all over the country in such roles as: Cleo in THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, Ermengarde in HELLO DOLLY and Lucille in NO NO NANETTE. Susan danced in the movies ALL THAT JAZZ, THE FAN, and LEGS and with two regional ballet companies. She received a Harkness Scholarship to study ballet at Southern Methodist University and has taught dance in schools and universities in the United States and musical theatre classes in Germany. Susan won San Antonio's Globe Award for "Best Production of a Musical" and "Best Choreography" for CABARET. She was nominated for Philadelphia's Barrymore Award for "Best Choreography" for CHICAGO and MY ONE AND ONLY.
