Susan Streater has directed and choreographed musicals and revues in off broadway, summer stock and
regional theatres; club acts, industrials, cruise ship and theme park shows from New York City to Busch Gardens in Florida.
Susan performed on Broadway in MERLIN with Chita Rivera, in Radio City Music Hall's 50th Anniversary show, ENCORE,
and THE CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR. She also danced at Radio City in two productions with Liberace. Susan performed in the First
National Tour of CHICAGO, directed by Bob Fosse, and understudied Gwen Verdon who created the role of Roxie Hart. Susan played
the role herself in several productions of CHICAGO. She has performed in regional and summerstock theatres all over the country
in such roles as: Cleo in THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, Ermengarde in HELLO DOLLY and Lucille in NO NO NANETTE. Susan danced in the
movies ALL THAT JAZZ, THE FAN, and LEGS and with two regional ballet companies.
She received a Harkness Scholarship
to study ballet at Southern Methodist University and has taught dance and musical theatre classes and workshops in schools
and universities in the United States and Germany.
Susan's production of CABARET won San Antonio's Globe Award
for "Best Production of a Musical" and "Best Choreography". She was nominated for Philadelphia's Barrymore
Award for "Best Choreography" for CHICAGO and MY ONE AND ONLY.
